PolyCAD support a select range of entities
to give the best possible modelling experience particularly for hull
definition and design. Entities covered include interactive curves,
interactive surfaces, Facet surfaces and constructive surfaces. PolyCAD
supports a unique set of hull surface design and generation entities
such as IntelliHull. In addition, other helper objects such as planes,

Once a model is build, a wide range of
tools is supported which can be used to analyse the design. These
include hydrostatic, section area and volumetric calculations. Automatic
generation of full Lines Plan drawings from any surface based entity
and the printing of scale template so that the design can be realised.

PolyCAD supports a wide range of file interfaces
to other system. The most popular formats such as DXF and IGES are
supported for the entities included. Other formats are supported which
are either for other software design tools or particular formats used
by certain companies.
