The Hull and Surface Workshop was held this week at GRC.
The workshop was to arranged to demonstrate the capabilities of
X-Topology in PolyCAD with the possibility of developing equivalent
tool set for Paramarine. The morning session was used to review
the previous hull design developments in Paramarine followed by
an introduction into cross sectional design, different surface patch
techniques followed by a demonstration of X-Topology. In the afternoon
session, Paramarine users got to try out PolyCAD and X-Topology
for themselves. The workshop was attended by a selection of Naval
Architects involved in hull and surface design from accross the
UK naval ship building industry including BAE Systems, BMT-DSL and
DML.
