| PolyCAD features a number of tools that extend the capabilities
of the software beyond interactive modelling.
Analysing Curve and Surface Curvature
Within the graphics window geometry can by analysed by reviewing
curvature and in addition in the case of surfaces, reflection lines
(Isophotes). This information is displayed graphically allowing
the user to manipulate the surface to improve the quality is desired.

Hydrostatics and Section Area Curves
Hydrostatic calculations can be performed on hull forms represented
by surfaces, section data and polygon facet representations. The
results can be displayed for a number of draughts, covering a wide
range of quantities.
 |
| Hydrostatics Tables |
Section area curves can also be generated for a number of draughts
and result displayed as graphical or tabular data.

Generating Lines Plans
A dedicated interface is provided to generate lines plans from
three dimensional hull surfaces. The interface provides a range
of different plan views and allows different annotation to be added
to the drawing. It can be saved as an exported DXF or added to the
graphics window.

Printing to Scale
In addition to being able to print and copy the graphics window
scene, the software features an interface with which printed hardcopy
can be produced to scale. Using a large format printer, full scale
templates can be printed for any physical modelling project.
